dash lights are dim
dash lights are dim
when i turn my lights on, so i can see them at nighttime, they are very dim. they are still readable but you have to focus on them longer than i want to while driving to read anything.
do they need to be replaced or what?

yea, i just painted my dash, and accidently turned the dimmer down. which got me REALLY angry when i started my car at 11PM to see no dash lights. i started driving anyway then thought "maybe theyre dimmed?" and sure enough they were...leaving me thinking "im a friggin idiot."

Hi! Got the same exact problem. Drove at night the first time today. Dimmer's already at the brightest setting, and instrument is very dim. What kind of LED's can be used to replace the old bulbs? Are these really brighter than (new) incandescent bulbs? I heard that LEDs usually put out less light than incandescents. Can other dash lighting bulbs be replaced with these as well? The climate control bulb's dead as well.
How likely is it that it is the dimmer that's bad?
