Autozone Coils Long Term Reviews

Has anyone used the autozone coils? I am finding a post or two of people who just got them and they work, but can anyone give some reviews of long term usage on these?

They are not "Autozone" coils. Look closely on the coil. You will see the Manufacturer name printed on them, that name is "HANSHIN" the same coils the stealership will charge you 649.00. The only difference between these coils and OEM's is the box. If you want to pay 230.00 extra for packaging don't let me get in the way. By the way, I just bought a set of these coils last week. Did all 6 for 417 dollars and some change. Car has 130K and runs like butter again.

I didn't know Autozone carries Hanshin coils. Could this be labeled under the other brand names? Because I searched Autozone website and couldn't find any Hanshin brands.

They are labled under the brand name of Wells. They are 64.99 a piece. If you go to Autozone and find one of these, take it out of the Wells box and inspect it. You will see that Hanshin is clearly stamped on the coil.

So.... the "HANSHIN"-stamped coils from AutoZone are identical to the coils from dealers? Is it correct?

Yep...............the boots are slightly different. They fit tighter, which is a good thing. (helps stop dirt and grime from getting in there)

Misfiring, usually a CEL would pop up.

I'm getting the same thing, an occasional misfire code 201. Did This solve the problem? Does the car seem to run any better. Im trying to decide if its worth the money to change all of them.

I would see which ones are misfiring and then change them. In the words of Will Smith, "And if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it."

I replaced one over 2yrs ago.

It was ~70ish from Autozone, and it is still working just fine.

i was getting a misfire code and was almost positive it was the coils, but being only 19 and still in school for cars, i took it to the dealer and payed them $45 just to make sure it was the coils. it was. so basically, if you do it yourself its deffinatly worth the money. i took me about $460 (including dealer diagnosis) and 45 minutes to do all 6. would have cost me $800 to have the dealer do the job. deffinatly well worth it. very very easy.
