vent control valve

How much would this part cost for a 98 maxima, and is it an easy install

i think thats one of the evap valves. call your local nissan dealer.

yes it is easy to install. it's located under the car by the drivers side rear tire. i cant remember the exact cost but i think its about $90. I think there are two different kinds though. one sits flush and the other has a nipple or something on the end so check yours before you get one from nissan.

I just repaired mine. I was getting a 1446 code. Took it off, applied 12v and nothing. Tapped it on the floor, hit it with 12v and click -on it went. Applied 12v 6-7 times to make sure.Code is gone.
