Alright this is an update to my previous thread, after lots of driving with and without the windows open ive noticed the grinding noise is constant, whether its in neutral, clutch in, 1st gear or 5th. I will try get a sound clip/video of the noise. Im thinking is could possibly be my wheel bearings but im not sure. If anyone read my previous thread, i managed to break my driveshaft support on my passenger side. It was welded back together, by a professional welder (30 years under his belt), and it seemed fine, so i put it all back together. Id like to hear what other people think.

Is the grinding occuring when the car is moving or not moving or both?

 

when its moving, i took a video of it but its hard to hear ill try get another one. just after a bit of driving i notice it is popping out of first gear only when theres no load on the engine, such as when im going down a hill in first with no gas it pops out. It did it awhile ago but i thought i might have just hit the shifter with my hand a bit.
