ok ive had a CAI for a while, and i want to put back on the stock resonator,b/c it has a smoother powerband at low rpm's.....does the IAT plug into the stock resonator or is it into the airbox? its been about a year since i changed it so i dont remember where it plugs into. can anyone help me?

 

Plugs into the air box, unfortunately. I have the stock resonator/CAI combo as well, and I'm thinking about drilling a hole in my resonator (the box-ish thing, not the "accordian tube") and putting it on there.

 

so where is yours plugged in ?

 

It's currently hanging in the engine bay. I have the wiring taped to the strut tower.

No one has proven it will affect performance, but it seemed to mess with my idle a little bit for the time period I had it unplugged (a couple weeks). If I came to a stop the idle would dip to like 400 for a second. Once I had it plugged back in it stopped doing that. It will also throw a CEL (and code) if it's not plugged in.
