i rebuilt my sunroof today, but i currently have two problems.
1. my sunroof does not sit flush. its probably a half inch too low, but i dont know how to make the necssary height adjustment.
2. when reinstallin the glass, there are these metal things. they sit in a stack of three. but i forgot what their original positioning. (i took a picture if its not clear what im talking about).
well besides that, if anyone has any questions about the ruibuild ill be happy to try to help. i also have a pdf of the technical service bulletin which goes with the rebuild if any1 wants me to email it to them.
thanks

the metal things you are talking about are shims. they are used as spacers or washer for the gaps you have. stack them till you lose the gap, but half an inch is a whole lot my friend. check to make sure your motor is fully closed when you install the roof. then when you got it almost flush. do a water test for leaks. i had to take mine in and out a few times to get it fit right. be patient and you will be pimpin again.

The shims go between the glass and the MOUNTING POINTS for the glass. You also may not have an equal number of shims, When I did mine, I had THREE of the big ones on one side and two on the other, I had the same amount of small shims on either side.
As Orleanzmax said, make sure the roof is in the closed position. There is a mark on the motor that helps you find it.
I only had to take mine out three times to get it right!
ALSO, there are some black fittings or grooves that probably were supplied to you in the kit. Those things are very important as those are what help the sunroof tilt and get to the locked position. Make sure you aren't missing them or the original ones didn't fall out.
