thumping from RR, and smooshed parking brake cable..
Okay, so I've been noticing a speed sensitive thumping coming from my right rear, which is getting louder and seems to have appeared after a wheel/tire swap. I checked clearance of the tire inside and out, and everything looks like it's clearing fine. I'm not lowered, and the overall wheel/tire profile is the same as stock.
While investigating, I noticed that my right rear parking brake cable is being smooshed into a bushing just forward of the rear beam axle. it's the same area that the cable is mounted to, right before it makes a final turn for it's run for the brake. I don't see how this is related, but I had noticed the parking brake loosen up a bit, I'm guessing the right rear isn't fully engaging because of this little smoosh. I'd say 20% of the cable diameter is being compressed.
Any input?
