Fuel Pump? maybe...

one time i let my gas get too low and my car wouldn't start. I pressed the gas pedal a few times while it was off and it finally started. Ever since then when my gas gets to a quarter or less it doesn't start. So i have to do the same process. Is my fuel pump messed up?? I think ours is external but not sure. How much do they cost these days? Thanks for the help.

If the car is fine once its started, it probably isnt the fuel pump, but changing the filter cant hurt.

When the car is low on gas, try leaving the car in ACC for a few seconds before trying to crank, (i believe the fuel pump will turn on and build up fuel pressure).

change the fuel filter first its a $10.00 job if the problem still occurs then look elsewhere.
