3.5 too wimpy

Seen these Nissan Titans driving around with their 5.6L engines.
Now that's what I would call an engine swap.
I wonder if it could fit?

I wouldn't call lowering 1/4 mile times by up to a second or more on it's own wimpy.

the 3.5 has powered a maxima into the 11's ~ I wouldn't consider that to wimpy.

I think it would be better for you to go all the way and do a rwd conversion too this would yield the best results out of that 5.6.

I looked at the 5.6L yesterday actually and that thing is damn HUGE!!! From the looks of it, there's no way of fitting it in, but i was looking at it around 2am so i might be wrong cause i was tired and it was pretty dark.

Wait. I'm sorry but I don't know if you're serious.. NO it would not fit. Not only would it not fit in our engine bay nor be able to mate up to a transverse transmission, but what was the last car you've driven with a 5+ liter V8 and FWD? Go drive a mid-90s El Dorado. It'd completely ruin the car.

I had to quote this. While you did answer his question. Re-read what you posted.

CHEVROLET. The Vette is my favorite car and the only car Chevy/GM can produce "correct". Other than that Chevy/GM would only be stupid enough to drop a V8 in a FWD car.

Truck engine = Massive torque (by Japanese standards) and NO power after 5200 RPM...

Actually I did own an Eldorado. It was probably the worst POS I ever owned. It had a 472 motor (7.7 litres) and it was FWD. Going WOT resulted in:
Spin the wheels! Lots of smoke! Tranny thinks: Oh look, gotta change up!
Tranny does that, wheels stop spinning, car lurches to a halt, tranny: Oh sh! Change down! Spint the wheels, lots of smoke . . . tranny (etc etc, repeat ad infinitum)
Hmm. Putting anything much more than the VQ35 has gotta cause something very similar. I guess the only thing for it will be to change the rear of the car to another FWD setup with another complete VQ30 sitting in the trunk area, giving 6L and FWD with AWD. That'll need two throttle cables, two MAFs, and so on . . (only joking guys, I hoped you could recognise a wind-up when you see one!)

Couldn't hold 1st? My 03 does this occasionally but if I leave it in 1st ( auto shifting) it will actually 'catch up' to itself.

the VK56 is a truck engine that makes 315 horse, is it worth your time and money to take it over a VQ35 making 265-298 horses? If you convet to RWD might as well do AWD or just buy a GT-R

Truck engine = torque.. When dealing with truck engines and their duties, who cares about its peak hp.

I've seen the Titan put down 300+ ft/lbs.

er the vk45 puts out 340hp and 333lb/ft in the q45.. which bring to mind of why the hell would you want a truck engine an a maxima which weighs around 3100lbs stock?
