In gear or not, my car doesn't want to idle right when the engine's cold. At times while in gear when warm, it doesn't want to idle right either.

Any ideas?

My resonator on the MAF side, the piece that the MAF connects to is tearing off (probably allowing air in that's bypassed the MAF)...could this be the problem (in the process of sourcing another used piece)? Not currently getting any ECU codes (though I've had EGR codes and O2 codes come and go on occasions)...

Well, it seems like it will die but I don't know for sure as I give it some gas while it's doing this. I remember trying to keep it at 1500 for warmup and after a minute or two, the RPM's went up to over 2000 smoothing out...

Well, I used some tape to temporarily cover the crack in the intake piece and it's running fine. So that was it...

I tried to clean my throttle body one day and i pushed and pulled to get to the TB. After i did that i started getting this sputtering, bogging in my engine when i hit the gas. I made sure i reconnected everything right and then i noticed something like your saying. It's the rubber ring around the MAF and it's cracked all the way around. Is that theproblem your having?

It's right about here:

That's exactly it...some packing tape later and it's running fine. I should be picking up this part from member "Fr33way" next thursday here locally. I'd advise you to find one too! Not sure how long the tape will hold but it's working here temporarily!

Also note: my crack is on the piece that's between the MAF and the TB, not on the piece that the MAF sits on...it's right where your arrow is though but again, it's on the piece that's on the side that connects between the TB and MAF
