C/V Joint problem????!!!!! HELP

I have a terrible constant clicking noise when i turn my wheel hard in both directions. now i know that the clicking is from the c/v joints, but what actually needs to be replaced? I have searched for new axles, but my sources call them drive shaft axles???? is that what needs replacement? Also, the dealer says there's one on each side, so i need two axles??????? I am F'ing confused. please help a brotha out.

Yes you need two if both are bad. There is one from the transmission to the pass wheel, and one from the trans to the drivers side wheel. You can get yours rebuilt if you have a good drivetrain shop nearby. Average cost is about 50-100 bucks per axle from a parts house, but the shop I use to rebuild my CV's charges 35 bucks per side. this is all assuming the actual housings aren't damaged inside, which I'm sure would raise the price.

Yeah you need 2 and the left is different to the right.
I got mine from the local parts store for $78 and $95 which was better than any internet price I could find so shop around.

It's not too bad a job. But all that suspension stuff needs bullying.

Oh and watch out for all the gearbox oil coming out when you remove the old shafts.
