is this too much....?

im looking to buy a loaded 99 gle with just over 100k, its auto, has leather, acc, sunroof, heated power seats. the kbb value says 9800 in excellent condition. the car isnt excellent but its really clean with only a few scratch marks on the rear passenger door side. the dealer wants 7999 FIRM

whats everybodys opinion on that, do u think i should hold out a little bit longer for a better deal or is that a decent price range for a 99? (even tho it isnt SE)

I don't think that thats too bad. Make them give you a carfax report before you buy. I got mine from a dealer last October for $9999 with 74k on it. Its like yours, minus the heated seats. If you're in RI, let me know if youre interested in my boyfriends car...hes selling his 99 SE-L.

I paid 5500 for my 99 SE 5spd with just over 100k on it, and it was in really good shape. I'd try to talk the guy down. If he's asking almost $8000 firm for it that better be with the financing in the price...at a high rate.

If you want to pay that much go for it, but try to lower the price.

LOL, that definately doesn't include financing but you seem to have gotten a decent deal on yours. From a proven car salesmans point of view "A car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it". These forums will help you determine your value. I just cant believe the prices our cars can sell for with high milage. I dunno man, Good luck.

$8000, over 100,000 miles? unbelieveable these cars.

115k, 96 GLE black, ALL maintainance records (which were from the dealership) in the glovebox, everything works, had a check engine light, (knock sensor) $2500. I know mines 3 years older, but 8 grand? I think you could find a better deal honestly. I've seen lots here in the midwest, 98's, 99's , for around 5-6 that are in great shape.

Man thats way too high. That car should cost in between $5k to no more than $7k. Just do a search of the same car and # of miles on cars.com and see what the prices average and use that as your leverage.

I think thats too much... Im selling my 95 for $7000.00. It only has 106k. But the whole interior/exterior is from a 99, Brembo brakes, tv, dvd player, two sets of rims, new paint job, stillen kit all around, Tein suspension, KYB shocks, etc... No engine mods, just one of the cleanest maxima's arond... PM me if interested, I have pics...

its a bit much, id bet he paid less than 5 for it. his "firm" should mean nothing to you. tell him ull give him 6200 for it n ull take it home right now, and see what he says. oh and even if u plan to pay cash, tell him ull finance the whole amount as well.

It seems too high. This is a 7 year old car with over 100K on it. You should be able to find a better deal, unless you live in the middle of nowhere.

I think it is too much also. I paid $6400 for my 99 SE L with 86K. That's the difference between a private seller and a dealer. If you are patient you can find a better deal.
