Engine Shudder..?

1995 GLE Auto---

Aight, the problem is when open the throttle about 3/4ths of the way, usually already going about 20-30 mph, the engine will sort of shudder/shake while accelerating. When I give it WOT, the car will downshift fine and accelerate great. It only shudders/shakes when I give it enough throttle to where it wont downshift. Actually, the car will also kindof shutter/shake when giving it the same throttle when going any speed, not just 20-30 mph Other than that, my car runs great. I really don't notice a power loss because of this, or I hope not, but I know the engine isn't supposed to shudder like that. It's not violent, but you can definatly feel it in the steering wheel.

Ive already replaced the KS, PVC valve, spark plugs, oil, fuel filter, and pretty much all of the basic items on the car, but im just curious to what is going on.

Is it lugging? What are the RPMs?

And for a pure WAG, any chance the throttle body plate is sticking?

if you look in the hayness manual, tells you the comen reason for a viberation underacceleration, 1)excessine toe-in 2)incorrect spring height (thats right lowering you car to much with out an alinement will cause viberation) 3) worn or damaged cv joints. hope that helps

can you tell us more about the shudder? Do you feel it mostly in the steering wheel or through the seat? Does it seem like the engine is misfiring or is it more like the suspension is bouncing? Is it a fast vibration thing or a slower shudder? Is it up&down, left-right, or front/back?

Just a thought

im all on stock suspension and new axles ..hmm.. it only shudders when i open the throttle about 3/4ths of the way. Actually, you can feel the engine shudder throughout the car, mmm, it's kind of hard to explain. You can feel it mostly in the accelerator and steering wheel. So, how would my car drive if it was misfiring? Is a misfiring engine that noticable? Like I said, the car drives great, until I open the throttle up, and then shudder/shake. Yeah, it's weird..any other suggestions?

I'm having exactly the same problem. Replaced the same stuff and this really has me stumped. I am certain its an engine related problem and definitely NOT suspension/tire related.
Its like the engines somehow running roughish and you can feel it mainly transmitted through the steering wheel, and you can feel it a little bit if you touch say a door or something.
Could it be the coils? Id also appreciate any input on this. Thanks!
