Need some info ASAP about brake fluid

Hey everyone I just installed the 6th gen brakes on my car and I dissasembled and reassembled the braking system pretty easily. Now I am having a problem bleeding the brakes. I went online and looked up how to bleed them and the 2 articles I read inferred that I keep the car off so thats what I did. Then I find out a few mins ago from someone on this forum that we are supposed to bleed the brakes with the car on. Well now its late at night and tomorrow I am getting up and driving 1.5 hours to get custom SFCs fabricated for my car but I need to bleed the brakes properly before I go. The can of brake fluid I used is still like 90% full but the seal has been broken meaning the fluid is now in contact with the air. I know brake fluid works like a sponge and can suck up moisture from the air. I need to know if its ok if I use the fluid in the open can about 12 hours from now? I opened the can about 2 hours ago. So it will be exposed to the air (high humidity here) for about 14 hours. Is that still ok to use?

And please tell me how you guys bled your brakes. I just bled them twice with the car off and it got better the second time and they feel pretty good, but I wouldent know if theres room for improvement because I dont know how good this braking system really is or could be. I could already have it with absolutly no air in the lines or I could still have some air in the lines and I could be missing out on some braking performance and feel.

Please help guys.. I am getting a little frustrated here.

Thanks,
Josh

1. Put the flipping top back on the can of brake fluid. D'oh.
2. It doesn't matter whether you bleed with the car running or not. It just takes a lot more effort when not.

The flipping top is back on the can, but i dont believe its an air tight can, and I am saying the brake fluid will absorb the moisture of the air already in the can.

I would assume that the manufacturers would provide a top that is suitable for storage for at least a few months... I don't know for sure though.

I've used some pretty old brake fluid.. as long as some sort of cap is on there it should be fine.
