weird Relay clicking sound when pressing brake pedal?

In a 95 Maxima GLE?

This can't be normal, is it?

man... i wont flame you.. but when u press the brake a relay clicks to disengage the shifter... thats why u have to press the brake before shifting
also it could be the brake switch ur hearing completely normal..

yea, I know, but that **** is loud man. I knew it was for either the shifter or the brake lights.

Also it is an Auto, but I wanted a Standard and when you hit on the gas and get to 3-4grand the car kinda slips and finally kicks into gear. Seems like it has a tranny problem or the tranni fluid is low. I bet, I also wondered if this was normal in a Max.

shift- lock dis engauging so u can take it out of park

So why didn't you buy a 5 speed? They are not exactly rare.

Interesting, mine clicks too, and I have 5sp. And it's not the cruise control switch, that toggle is very quiet.
