Goodbye.

Well, looks like I'll be saying goodbye. I just sold my Maxima today, and I already miss it. My brother, the original Radiohead, first bought the Maxima in 2002 and it became his project car. As he grew up, he wanted something more mature, and landed himself a G35. The Maxima was then passed onto my dad, who wasn't using the Maxima to its full potential, and eventually I took over once I got my license. Once it was in my hands, I babied to hell out of it and did whatever mods I could, including creating my own grounding kit. Sadly though, as a student, I can't afford to maintain the Maxima on my own, and I really didn't need another car.

So then, it was decided that we would sell the Maxima and get whatever we can get for it. The day I posted it in the local classifieds, someone already contacted me about it and was very interested, and I ended up selling to him. I told him about Maxima.org, so you will probably see him as a new member in the near future.

Well, that's the story, and the end. It really makes me sad to sell the Maxima because it's such a great car, especially for a 1996, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Thanks to everyone on the org for all the helpful resources, and being a great community overall. I <3 you guys!

Goodbye Maxime.

Its a sad to have to sell a car because you cant keep it up versus moving onto another car. Best of luck and hope you enjoy the next car as much as the maxima.

Im close to that decision. Probably another year and a half but I really dont wanna sell my car at all. G35 coupe, 6spd. I kind of want a car I dont have to tweak and mess with every time I drive the thing. lol

Well my brother and I are both looking for a project car for us to work on together. When he had the Maxima, I was too young to do anything. Now I'm mechanically inclined and he wants to modify something other than his G35, so we both agreed on finding another VW, since I know them best. Most likely going to buy a used Golf or GTI 1.8T and just go crazy with it.

As much as I loved the Maxima, my GTI was way more fun to drive, even with a way slower engine. But the more I think about it, the more I miss the Maxima.

Yo, no homo. Haha JK, spend that money wise, and just b/c you don't own a Maxima, doesn't mean you can't be a part of the org!
