Does anyone know if the factory alarm can be made to beep the horn? I want just a little confirmation "chirp", not a loud, wake-up-the-neighbors honk.

As far as i know , no

It seems possible, cause u can just take the wires goin from the alarm to the parking lights, and split them to your horn, but that might ruin the ECU or some crap..... and it wont work, u can get a cheap aftermarket for 150 with shock sensors and all, do that!

The method you described won't work because every time you signal...guess what...your horn will beep =).
