Passenger Side window problem - strains...and rolls up slow
I posted a thread awhile ago as to what to check for my passenger window going up and down so slow. I was told to get silicone lube, but that didn't really help. Then paying closer attention to it yesterday, and taking the door panel off to inspect, I noticed that:
1. Although the power window assembly seems "strained" when the window reaches the half way down point and continues down, it seems to reach the fully open position in the same time in takes my driverside: about 3 seconds.
2. On the way UP however, the passenger side window is REALLY strained, especially starting from the fully open position, and the driverside window returns to full closed before the passenger side window. Again, my driverside takes about 3 seconds, and my passengerside takes about 4 seconds.
Does this narrow a specific problem down any? Just looking for suggestions, thanks.

check to see if any of that rubber lining is rubbing up against the window causing it to go slower! Generally the motor doesnt go out, but the regulator clip holding the window breaks, since yours still roles up and down properly then i would check to see if any rubber is slowing the window as it goes up.
dude, it sounds to me like it's your window motor. that would be the most likely culprit. the other thing to check on is the regulator. when the door panel is off make sure the wires are getting rolled up smoothly and not crossing over. if they look all jacked up replace them before replacing the motor. you should be able to get either part at autozone for a decent price.
It could be in a wire going to the motor with a few strans broken and putting a high resistance in the wire causing a voltage drop across that resistance. It would not take much resistance in the wire to rob you motor of several volts. If this is the case it could eventually burn your motor up. All motors are designed to operate on a specific voltage level. It the motor opeates on 10 to 15 percent less volts it will destroy your motor in due time. I have studied electronics extensively in the past and have not forgot the basic things that can cause a lot of problems that the ordinary person, without that training, may not know.
