QUICK Illumina question

I just bought a used illumina/spring kit, but the boots are torn, just in the rear. Does anyone know what type of boots I can replace them with and where I can get them? also will i need a spring compressor?
Thanks!

Is it the Illumina strut + tokico spring suspension kit? I dont know how to fix your problem, but please PM me with how it rides after your install.

Check on the Forums in the Group Deals section. I just bought KYB front and rear boots from Import Replacement Parts. Their prices are 1/2 what the "stealership" charges. Rears were $13.50 each and they do give a "forum discout". Sorry I can't find the url. Fact is my son and installed a set of Illuminas and H&R springs this afternoon. First time we've tried it so we hit a couple of snags but got it done. Pretty happy so far. Cheers

You might want to read my experience with installing Illuminas and H&R's. I did it today with my son and just now wrote it up. Here's the link:

Nice mini write up, hope mine goes as smooth as yours did.... did you need a spring compressor to put on the boots?

I did not need a spring compressor for the boots. Just slipped them on and then zip tied them. The install instructions from the VQ page indicate that they did not use all the hardware that comes with the rear shocks. I did. You get new nuts, groved spacer/bump stop (you'll know it when you see it), rubber stop, and large washer. Dump the old stuff and use the new. Cheers
