My highway mileage went from a crappy 23-24 mpg to 29-30! I made a 600 mile trip and they will almost pay for themselves by the time I get back.

Better gas mileage is always a good thing.

my car would throw a code every 800 mile sor so, i'd reset, and it would show within a few weeks.

No exxageration at all. the best I EVER got was 26 mpg a year ago, recently around 23, and I got 29.4 on my first tank (94 octane) with the 3 new O2's

I got bosch universals from ebay, 28 each shipped.

i was going to change my 02 sensors a couple of months ago, but no code yet so i held off, but i was getting similar gas miliage as you, 20-22mpg combined city/hwy in a 98 auto se that isnt driven that hard. my god damn 02 auto gets 27-28mpg!! that figure is not found out with the mpg trip computer either, that thing claimed i was getting 37 (gallons used/miles travelled)

My 97 SE 5spd gets bout 24 in/around town. On the highway bout 27. Haven't had any problems with codes but it does have 125k. I'll have to think bout this. Off to the Haynes manual to check on loacations of o2 sensors. Cheers

There are two before the cat. One is near the firewall, behind the engine. The other is closer to the front of the engine. Keep looking.
