One 4th gen down....thanfully i'm still alive

So I was drivin in my max approaching an intersection going straight...one car turned across my path and then this stupid ***** in a dodge pick up followed and cut me off just as I was entering the intersection. There was nothing I could do to stop in time...check out the pics: http://community.webshots.com/user/ddub88

The airbags saved both me and my gf's life...we weren't wearing seatbelts. I will never buy a car without airbags again.

glad you made it out ok, but the S in SRS stands for supplemental ... you should also have been wearing your seatbelts. the airbags can do more damage to you without seatbelts holding you in the correct position.

Dude...I'm sorry to hear that, condolences on your loss. Like you said, most important thing is that you and your girlfriend are okay. What intersection did this happen at?

Philly drivers suck.

I realize that, but if there weren't airbags then I'm pretty sure i'd be dead right now

sorry to hear about the max, and good to hear you and your gf are alright, the exact same scenario happened to me when i owned my camaro. Seems like a pretty common accident, one that could be easily prevented if some of the idiots on the roads would just wait to make a turn instead of cutting someone off. Seems like everyones in such a f***ing rush.

Ouch...good thing no one was hurt. Next time wear your seatbelts...or you might end up in the engine bay.

Hate to see that. I always have people in my car wear their seatbelt, I wouldn't be able to stand knowing that I could have saved someone's life if I had just b*tched at them for wearing their seatbelt for a second.

Glad to hear you are okay. Look at the bright side. You were able to dent a dodge tank! A lady pulled out in front of my dad's dodge and it destroyed the side of her land rover, but my dad's truck was barely hurt.

Your lucky your air bags deployed and didnt hurt you. The ONE time I didnt wear a seat belt I totaled my Max (guy was going wrong way on a one way and I T boned him), my air bags didnt deploy if they did I'd probably have broken my neck or worse.

Wrong answer.

The correct answer is "I will never go without wearing my seatbelt again".

Believe me, I will always wear my seatbelt now. I know that I was extremely lucky. I just can't believe I walked away from that one

Any other mods? Leather seats? anything you want to get rid of/trade before the adjuster comes around?

p.s. glad you are o.k. (seriously, you got lucky and I am happy for ya)

Just a lampoon of the normal lament on the org post-accident

I can't imagine how late that guy in the truck must have turned, given the pattern of the damage. It almost looks like a straight front-end collision. Was he drunk or something?

Either way, my advice would involve a kind visit to the man's place of residence for a polite discussion concerning the error of his ways....

I almost crashed my white GXE today, looks just like yours. Thing is, it would have been all my fault, I took a turn too fast, and understeered, then i turn a little bit less and got more grip, phew. Once I got home I realized how low my tire pressure is, so its the tire pressure.

It was some dumb girl. She said she didn't see me coming even though the person who turned before her clearly saw me. She was probly on her cell phone....

Glad you're okay, accidents suck! Hopefully everything goes well with your insurance company and you get the most out of it.

Glad to hear you're both alright. I don't know about that "white Maximas" getting wrecked thing, but my black Max has managed to avoid a number of close calls like this recently, so maybe there is something to it.
