Anyone with a Microvision 7000bct?
1. Does the Microvision 7000bct require the remote control to operate it?
2. How is this thing mounted behind the dash so it stays put?
3. Will I have to fabricate some kind of bracket?

I've got one of those in my maxima. To mount it all you have to do is fit it in between the brackets that hold in your ac controls and radio and when you tighten the screws it'll hold the screen in place. I've only used the remote to change some of the display settings and wired a seperate switch to turn it on.
Search for Redmax in the classified or group deal forums. He's the one that has been selling these things for a couple of years.
BTW The TV itself fits between the brackets with a little modification to the tv. The only thing that I did was cut off some of the plastic borders around the tv. The borders were in the way of the brackets, it made it harder for the tv to stay in place.
As for the remote, yes you need that to operate the tv. Make sure when you mount the tv in the dash, that the red sensor is visible. If not, then you won't be able to turn the tv on.

no need for mounting bracket either, it wedges in behind there just fine. that and i got creative with some zip-ties, and it stays put.

the power should be just running to a power line (like tap your HU's power or remote, whichever), they shouldnt be together... the switch line should run to the power on the tv.
if you still get feedback, ground the negitive. it really should be just grounded anyways... thats prolly why you're getting feedback

the red a orange shouldn't be together if you're running it through a switch. the person that had it before you probably did not use a switch, so he tied the power and switch wire together, so that it would just come on with the head unit... its not nessicarily a bad thing to do, and probably won't cause problems, but if you're running it through a switch, they should be separate.
