Whats this rad hose protector for?
Bought a Gates 22183 radiator hose for a 99 infiniti I30 (Maxima). Nice hose- but $19!!!! upper rad hose. Hose came with a plastic corrugated flexible sleeve about 6 inches long- slit down the side- - appears to be some type of protector guard- car has none as OE - I bought it new -
is it a wear guard or a heat guard and where do I put it on this engine?
