i was comin home from the meet the other day and my brakes started squealing like crazy. it was soo loud that i shout the windows and with the radio on i could still hear it. i think my rotor needs to be ground, but does anybody else have any other suggestions?

it might be the metal clips telling you to change your brakes because you don't have any? But i might be wrong.

Same thing happend to me. I have brand new brembo blank rotors and hawk hps pads that were just installed last week and yesterday they squeaked horribly. I don't think its your rotor or the metal clips on your pads. I just think it may be the pad. From my own experience non-ceramic pads will squeak sometimes (especially when they heat up).

I have used dealer (which are ceramic) and wagner thermo-quiets and they didn't squeak. However I don't recommed the wagners, because they felt spongy.

I have the same problem right now with my brakes... squeaking loud even after I got new breaks... I think it's the pads... If I find a good brand, I'll let u know! PS: I have the same 2-tone in my car...

Also Nissan has a brake kit that you should use when you change your pads.

Atleast thats what my mechanic claims is the cause of my squeal.. i just put more money into a sound system to drown out the noise.

i have a suggestion...dont resurface rotors, just buy new ones. resurfacing often times just makes it an even worse braking surface.

a lot of times new brakes squeak until they are somewhat "broken in"
