Alright im really getting sick of this.... im throwing a code for egr flow malfunction (low flow detected) i cant figure this damn thing out.... t
this is what i have done already

cleaned entire egr system

I went thru this issue myself lately. If you look at the IAC port and to right of it, there is a pipe with an EGR temperature sensor with it. You must remove this pipe (there are 2 bolts at the top and 2 bolts at the bottom) and clean it. Mine was plugged with carbon!!
Once you have cleaned this, you then have to reset your ECU.

I'm in the same boat. Just haven't had time to do anything about it yet.

Just a thought..

I believe the EGR code can also be caused by an exhaust leak.

I know for a fact that the flex section on my Y pipe has a small leak. Mechanic showed it to me 2 months ago. A week later the code came up.

I guess I'll see about getting that fixed first.

550- there is a SMALL pipe that connects the EGR valve to the BPT valve.

Here is a picture-look where the red circle is: http://target.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph...nm=ed24re2.jpg

The ONLY thing that connects that pipe between both valves is a piece of hose. As you can see from the picture, mine is completely BLOCKING the pipe, because of age. Make SURE that hose is in good shape. I just bought a piece from the parts store and replaced it. MAKE SURE THAT pipe isn't CLOGGED either!!!

Feel free to look at all the other pictures I took when I did mine. They are here:
http://target.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph.../ph//my_photos

The thread I started when I did mine is here:

I would strongly recommend checking that pipe tho. I forget right now what year your car is. I have a 1996 SE.

Hey 550. Did you ever get the EGR system working without any CEL's coming back? Tell us what you found!
