The last I saw at Walmart were the Everstart batteries. The Everstarts seem to be good batteries. I've ran one before and had no issues out of it.

I'd just get the cheapest one, as long as it works.

Same here. I do take the warranty period into account though.

Optima or Odessey only. Acid filled batteries are a thing of the past.

up here in canada it can get cold, so i invest in a battery with a good CCA rating. Just remember, usually a battery is a once every couple of year replacement item, might aswell spend a bit more and have it last longer. I see your in cali so with any battery you should be fine.

get at least 50-100 CCA's higher than what the manual recommends, especially if you live in a predominantely hot or cold climate.

As long as your not running a high power system, most all batteries are going to be about the same. So suck and some are better than others, get somtheing equal to or better than OEM.

The last time I purchased one at Wal-mart, the battery comes with a 3-years warranty. My first one (in my other car) died in two years because I didn't drive the car very often, so I took it back to the store and got a new one after paying $5 disposal fee. The one in the Maxima is working good.

Optima Batteries Are Great If You Have A Power Draining System! I Have Had An Optima And An Everstart Maxx From Wallyworld And I Can Tell You, The Maxx Is A Great Battery. For 60.00 You Can't Beat It! Just My 2 Cents.

installation fee? for a battery? that's ridiculous. that's like an installation fee for gasoline. for god's sake change it yourself

it take 2 min to change your car battery. if you live ina cold area, make sure you got a good amount of CCA (cold cranking amps)

bingo. we installed on in a hurst when i was doing system installs with a friend at his shop. It had a custom 36inch solo baric and two 2500w amps in it. he sits and listens to it all the time and the battery has never let him down.

The $40 Walmart battery in my Maxima is 3.5 years old and has always gotten the job done on cold New England winter days.

Good thinking, because they do fail. But I've said before, to some, the battery is a status symbol when they lift the hood. Optima is not even the highest performing battery in its class. Just happens to be the most popular.

Lots of aftermarket batteries have cold cranking power that far exceeds the OEM, PLUS they typically have a 3 yr. free replacement and 5 yr. pro-rated replacement, all for $45-$60. Why people pay to look cool on this one is beyond me. Because it's not just an extra $20, we're talking more like double.

My battery died the other day, held a charge for about 10 mins after I charged it, I bought it at advanced auto 2 years ago, I was 1 week out of warranty but they still gave me the warranty so I got a brand new “Platinum series” with 700 cranking amps for 19.48 (+ 13mo free replacement and 3yr pro rated warranty) and free installation (I just like watching people sweat there butts off in the Florida sun wile I relax and drink a cold drink)

I only paid like 50 buck for my old advanced auto battery (Exactly 2 years ago) maybe in 13 months I will short the hell out of my battery with a fork to get a new on free.

Well any way if you included the warranty on some of these places you’ll actually be paying less for batteries in the long run, I have a buddy (with a turbo Camry) who has gotten 3 new batteries from them without paying a dime with the warranty

Just got the yellow battery...it's actually the Everstart 35N battery I believe. Let me just say...although I only have an amp and 4 after market kenwood speakers (1789ie's I believe...)...my music hits HARD and I love it now. So much more power than the other battery I had (cracked when I hit a deer on the highway at 75mph). For $63 bucks...I think it's great. I personally wouldn't spend $120 on an optima.
