Bad tie rods causing my bump steer?

If so, which ones probably need replaced, inner, or outer? I think I've replaced every other culprit but these.

Fred, I doubt you're really feeling bump steer. Can you explain your symptoms?

It's typically a symptom of a track car or any other car with a highly tuned suspension. That is why I am hesitant to think Fred's car is producing it.

It doesn't have to be highly tuned. Any lowered A32 will have the tie rods at an upward slant. The more the car is lowered, the more the tie-rod ends are slanted, and the more there will be toe change over bumps. Excessive toe out will exacerbate the issue.

Sure. When I go over a bump, small or big the wheel jumps out of my hand to one side or the other. That is what I was saying by 'bump steer'. This is on my wifes car BTW, at stock height.

I guess if the car is lowered enough.

That does sound like bumpsteer, I guess. But without a modified suspension have you gotten it aligned recently?

I replaced both axles, endlinks, and the control arm(balljoint was bad) on the one side, and just got new tires. I am going to get it aligned tomorrow before we go on vacation, but I have a feeling it's not going to fix this problem. Maybe it will, but I doubt it.

I'm going to keep bumping this until I get an answer. Maybe I will talk to a mod and make it a sticky.

Let me guess, the wheel jerks to the side that's hitting the bump? I'll take a wild guess and say its normal.

On second thought, if its strong enough to jump out of your hand, I would blame it on the power steering.
