Seafoam in cylinders via sparkplug holes?
i've read much about seafoam here in the past. now it's time for my 125K engine. i know about the brake booster line for drawing the chem. into the intake and that's what i plan on doing. but, of course with that method, seafoam drawn into the cylinders is being consumed as the plugs fire. OK, w/ all the white smoke produced after later restarting the engine that's proof some residule seafoam must have stayed behind in the cylinders unburned and some behind some of the closed intake/exhaust valves.
so here's my point. can i take out all plugs and pour a metered amount through each plug hole? say, maybe a Tablespoon or Teaspoon? could that cause a hydrostatic locking engine problem? i figure this would be the most effective DIY method of purging the carbon build-up, which i have.
any thoughts?
