Well I went to the dealer yesterday about my A/C Fan making noise (low squeeking)..esp. on Low speed. Well this was the 2nd time i went in for the same problem.......the first time they replaced it ...and this time they wer saying that is was a "normal" noise...we it wasn't.....so I b*tched with them for a while spoke with the manager and everything....we'll after all that and 40 min. later the service guys comes to us saying....that he did a search on the databe or whatever..and it turns out that NISSAN knows about the problem with the A/C fan noise...and has come out with a new "Cover" around the "blower motor" so the noise is reduced if not completly gone...............So for all you people with this problem i suggest that you go to the dealership and ask them about it...
Oh yeah they are going to have to order the part or something also................

Well, covering the noise up doesn't do much good, since it's the motor bearings that are making the noise. Actually, it's the WORN bearings. I had the squeaking noise and my dealer replaced it under warranty. 20k miles later, the noise is coming back (just barely). I'm out of warranty, so I can't get it repaired for free. Actually I could care less if the fan is noisy. What I am afraid of is the resistor unit wearing out and then I'm stuck with the fan only working on 4.

Actually, it is somewhat like a "Recall" and they will cover it under Warrenty. Cuz i have 45,000 on my Car and i am not paying anything for it.....
The bottom like is... Nissan is aware of the issue and therefore have created this "cover" to reduce the the "squeeking" noise coming the Fan when it is on (esp.at low speed)
