Well I was just at Autozone yesterday and while passing through the tint section, I noticed that they had some tint removal stuff in a spray bottle. I wouldn't know how well that would work, but I just thought I'd let you know.

mount laurel is pretty far away. But its pretty easy. Like the other orger posted, use a razor blade n windex. But first peel off the ting. Use a razor blade that has a metal casing. Spray the window with windex n start scraping. What ur scraping off is the glue. U'll know when u do it. But its also pretty hard to scratch the window. So don't be afriad to press hard....its ok....

i know NJ is different from MA but i dont think my tint on my front windows is legal, and it has always passed inspection and i have never gotten a ticket or even questioned by anyone but my friends and ive had the car for almost 2 years now.

so i mean, why not play it out as long as you can?

Buy a pair of front windows that aren't tinted from a junk yard and just swap them once a year. That's what I would do.

it costs 40 bux to tint ur front windows y the hell would i go through the trouble of swapping windows out. it takes 10 minutes to take the tint off if u use the right stuff. as for scuba steve, your one of the very few who have gotten through as the NJ DMV need to make sure u have two working front windows. you may be able to get away with it at a private shop but not at the dmv itself, its not worth waiting IMO

It was at the reg inspec station. It depends on where you live, what day you go, etc. For example if you go through millville on a busy day sometimes you get rushed and they dont check everything. Used to be able to get through bridgeton every time but they stopped doing inspections there (wonder why lol).

Now that they are doing them for two years just take the time and take it off. My max went through two months ago and is good till 2008 =]

yes but in the rare case that a trooper decides to run that inspection sticker, that 50 bucks wont seem to cheap anymore. And it can happen, its becoming increasingly popular now a days. My VR-4 had three go on it that werent legit, until my cousin got hit for DWI. The cops ran his sticker and it came back as a fake (the barcode links to the database). His car was impounded, he was arrested (DWI anyway) and paid almost 10k said and done between lawyer and fines.

In the rare chance you find a guy whos making them at the inspec station and entering the info for you watch out, because they are doing this as setups now.

Yeah and i was outside changing the clear lights inside the red/clears and clear fronts to amber lights. He left the white ones in so had to change them up. Thats enough car work in 100 degree weather for me.

That is correct. Or you can trade windows with someone before inspection.

You cannot pass nj inspection with tinted windows. IMPOSSIBLE. even the private dealerships won't pass you if you have tinted windows. My brother went to like 10 different places and all of them said no, they won't do it. But they'll pass him without a cat n stuff. As long as the check engine light isn't on. But seriously, if you like to hit up bars and stuff, the front tints is just another reason to get pulled over n have the chance of getting a dui or seomthing. You might still be good to drive, but the officers might not think so.

Nothing is impossible. Like i said it depends on where you go, who you get, etc. When bridgeton was open we didnt even need to try the "put the windows down" trick. I went through millville with the windows down and they never put them up. So its happened more than a few times, its just luck of the draw.

You mean that you can't buy a car with non-working windows or pass inspection?

I mean say you remove the fuse or something and say you are waiting on parts from Nissan, they won't pass you?

Can you point this out in their literature or code?

Seems weird.

This is some sort of smog/safety inspection and do they issue plates at the same time?

If they test the windows and they dont work, regardless of reason, it is incorrect and you will fail.

I am glad TN does not do inspection. If they did, everyone would fail.

So a jeep can have those see through vinyl panels or no door while you get flunked at inspection?

Doesn't make a bit of sense.
