My last max was a '96 black on beige cloth and it looked good. I currently have white on black leather and love it though.

Don't change the color of your car when you repaint it. I'm serious...LISTEN TO ME. You will thank me later...

There are just way too many areas that will be left your original color. A two-tone black over tan will look hideous.

How much do you plan on spending? It will take a lot of money for a "good" job. You open your hood you will see gold, you open your trunk you will see gold. Make sure they take out all trim, lights, door panels, etc...

im doing all of the prep work myself but i dont really know how much its gonna cost yet. the only real reason im repainting my maxima is because i want to drive it for awhile longer and then sell it. i was also wondering if anyone knows where i can get replacement body side moldings.

Find out where BMW takes their cars to get repainted. You know they will do a good job!

Really! I had to have the BMW dealer repaint my bumper since someone damaged it before I bought it and they did a great job. They send all of the repair job to someone in your town.

I didn't pay since it was the dealers fault. This was on another car.

if your going to sell it leave the color the same....

EDIT - As for the grill you can lightly sand it, dremel wheel, etc. As long as you dont tear it up and prep it right you will be fine.
