New radiator

I've been losing a little coolant for a while now, but haven't seen any leaks. I finally noticed that there is coolant filling the lip of the radiator. I assume it's a slow leak, and most of the coolant is evaporating before it hits the ground.

I'm inclined to just replace the radiator. I've had shops do coring and re-soldering before, but that was close to $75 a number of years ago. It looks like I can get a new one online for a little over $100.

Does anyone have any experience with buying radiators other than from the dealer? Do they hold up OK? Anything to look out for?

And I missing an easy fix by not pulling it and trying to track down the leak myself?

if youre going to get a new radiator and are looking for better performance from it, get an aluminum radiator (the aluminum cools better)

Willard, I've never had an over-heating problem (it's my wife's car), so performance really isn't an issue.

And JUS10, thanks--I'm really leaning in that direction.
