Swapping to a 3.5 in 1 week!!! Have some questions...
Well...the time has finally come...got a great deal ($750.00!) on a 3.5 w/ only 1K miles! What I really need now is any information I can access regarding which parts/accessories I'll need to purchase with the new engine (aside from P/S pump, alternator, A/C compressor, starter), which parts I'll carry over from my VQ30DE and which ones I'll need to purchase (and where, if possible). I've got roughly 1 week b4 the work begins and I'd like to be as prepared as possible to avoid any unpleasant surprises. Any links you all can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, very much, in advance.

OK, OK...so I hit the "G" instead of the "Q" (fixed via "EDIT"). At any rate, please keep the feedback coming, guys...I'd like to have as clear an idea of what I'm getting myself into b4 I actually get myself into it. Thx.

I think there is even a good list in the All Motor Forum. But here are some of the things you need.
RPM Switch
FPR
Cam Redrilling (Tilley does this)
IACV Adapter Plate
Low Mileage VQ30 Timing Components (not required, but if you can find them its a plus)
Thats about all I can think of off the top of my head. Its been over a year since mine was done.

Tell me about it. a month later and I'm still not done with the swap (though I'm almost done, probably Wednesday)...but I didn't buy a spare vq30 and I didn't have all the parts I needed when I pulled the engine. I think that if I did it all over again, I'd have it done in a week if I had all the parts. Not to mention the time I have to work on my car is very limited.

getting a spare 3.0 saves sooo much time and worry. I was Lucky and able to get shadows blown 3.0 I can pull the timing case off and get all the timing equipment off and onto the 3.5 while still driving my car around. Its going to save loads on down time, and your can relax and prep while still getting to drive your car around.

Thank you all for your responses...mind if I pick your brains a lil' more? So far, I know I need the starter/alternator/A/C compressor, fuel rail w/ injectors and P/S pump from the new engine (all already purchased). Oh...and the wiring harness plugs as well (also arranged). I'll be using all necessary parts from my existing VQ30DE, which is in perfect working order and has an impeccable maintenance history. What else should I acquire (the new engine has only 1K on it, so I'm assuming all gaskets are fine)? Different/new motor mounts? Clutch (which one is best)? Lightened flywheel (again, which one)? Throttle body gasket (I'll be using my soon-to-be modified stock VQ30DE TB)? Other things? Can I contact any of you (via phone or email) from time to time with questions? Fortunately, I have a spare car to drive while I'm doing the work, AND no job to get to (so I'll have nothing but time to dedicate to this project). I also need to locate a supercharger kit (with V1 plate). Will I need to have my ECU remapped (who should I send it to)? Larger injectors (size/brand)? Anything else needed for this type of forced induction? Sorry for all the questions...if anyone is willing to be my point of reference during this job, I'll be happy to send some $ your way in exchange for the time. Just let me know. Thanks a bunch...Steve.
