Need help

I have checked the stickies and faq. I keep smelling a burning oil smell. I cant find a leak anywhere. Stephem Max changed my o ring type seals and I had my valve cover gaskets changed. I have check my plugs and I cant see any burned oil. I do get a little smoke (just happened today). I bought a new ignition coil (from advanced auto) to replace the one that originally had oil in it (reason for stephen max doing the work). I also replace the coresponding spark plug. My car still "bogs down" at around 60 mph. Its like its stuck the cel flashes on and off. I took it to autozone today and their scanner cant pick up anything even though the cel is on. ANyone dealt with this before. Thanks.

flashing Cel means multiple misfires. You are now falling victim to the coil pack issue just about all 99s suffer. Replacing all the coils will rid your problem.

Thanks for the info. Called the dealer out here, he suggested Air flow meter at 500 for the part.

Make sure all the electrical plugs to the Air Flow sensor (MAF) are connected and clean. You could try cleaning the MAF too.

See threads below:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ight=clean+MAF

and if you really need a new one: $375

I would check the forsale forum here and get yourself a full set of used coils.

They go pretty cheap.
