Loss of power?

Hey guys, I have a '98 5 speed with hacked airbox(might help) and while accelerating it feels like this: car starts to accelerate fine, than it feels like it makes a pause for a while and than continues to accelerate.. The car has 110k miles with all the maintenence and no codes... Any help is appreceated. Thank you!

P.S. The clutch is new(3000k) and 5th gen.

It wasn't like this before, I have it hacked for like 6 months already, it just started lately. May be because of the hot air? Its 105+ in NYC area.....

MAF issue. Partially faulty maf will make it feel this way. Could be plugs too or fuel injectors, start with the MAF though.

can you help?

Hi guys,
Sorry for using this thread but I cannot post my own yet. Could someone please post the question below as new thread:

"Loss of power - I have 98 GXE with manual transmission and 100k miles on it and up until recent it was in excellent shape. Here is what happened: my son was driving on freeway and decided to downshift from 5th to 3rd(!!!) gear, the genius missed and plugged straight into 2nd instead... RPMs rocketed into red and engine shut itself down (at least that is what he told me). Check Engine light is off. Now I feel a substantial loss of power - feels like it’s going on 4 cylinders now. After 4 drive tests at 2 shops mechanics keep telling me that the car is fine and they can’t find any problems. If I wasn’t driving it before I would probably believed them – it does drives fine, but now it’s more like my 4 cylinder pickup and not the Maxima it used to be… If anyone have knowledge, similar experience or just have any ideas I would greatly appreciate any advice.”

Thank you in advance,
Igor

They are not the same, 0304 = misfire, you're reading the codes in the stickies that are off the ecu not based on what the obd2 told you the p codes have to be compared to what the ecu code counterpart is, read the stickies

Here let me make it easy
