BAD alternator.

I had my alty checked at autozone yesterday and they said it was bad. So, i went to start the car this morning and it's dead. There is some kind of juice all over the battery,lol. Autozone said it was overcharging my battery. Is this true?

Very possible. It can boil the water in the battery.
