Temporary bypass of Fuel Temp sensor?

Is there a way to temporarily bypass the fuel temp sensor so my car won't keep shutting down on me while the part comes? I'm looking for a way to do it like the o2 sensor bypass/rewire that won't have any wiring problems for the new sensor when it comes in. Had to order the whole fuel sending unit and they still aren't sure if it comes with it!! And it won't be there til thursday. Any info greatly appreciated! Thanks!
