I am debating whether or not to buy a Random tech catalytic convertor. So I was wondering if anyone here has one installed on a 4 gen max and if so if you guys can give me some feedback on this mod. What I really would like to know is whether the horsepower increase is worth it...can you feel a difference and also if anyone in California has one installed and has had their max smogged. (by the way, my max is currently bone stock.) Do I have to install other mods before or concurrent with this mod to make it effective? Will the mod alter exhaust noise.

Thanks for your input.

The RT free flow cat in itself doesn't yield huge gains but when used in conjunction with a Y pipe and catback, you'll better utilize it's extra flow capacity.

Since you are stock currently, do the intake, Y pipe, and catback before doing the free flow cat. The cat *should* reduce the resonation that the B pipe/muffler combo produces.
