After trying to fix it myself 2x i know have come to the conclusion that i must purchase a new one

i found this one, says its from a 1999 Nissan Maxima SE, the white is OEM which i like and the odometer is digital, any experience if this will work on my 96 GLE?



also has anyone had any experience with the dealer changing the mileage to what it should be? price? do they put up a fight or is it a simple procedure even with digital ones?

I think the 97 to 99 clusters were different from the 95 and 96 ones.. they're mounted differently or something?

Don't quote me on that, but you might need to do a little bracket fabricating to get it to fit.

 

i dont think you can use it at all, because there is nothin to convert from analog to digital odo.

 

you can use it.. but you'll need to do some wire cutting and splicing..

 

Ohhh I like the sound of that, I am very well experience with electronic work should not be an issue for me. Do you happen to have a brief description of what exactly has to be spliced and cut?
