Hey guys, i know this is talked about every week but i just blew my clutch and i hear 5th gen is the way to go to replace it, When u say 5th gen u dont mean the clutch in the 3.5 right, u just meen the clutch that goes on the 3.0 in the 5th gen, i just looked threw the stickeys and i couldnt find a part number, anyone know it? how much am i lookin to spend? i might aswell replace my flywheel with a nice lightwight one? i will be installing the clutch myself so i woulnt mind investing some money in a nice new clutch assmebly. help please, i need my max!

5th gen clutch out of a 2000 to 2001, order the 5th gen clutch kit from courtesy or get it from dave b the parts guy, hes on maxima.org. The cluthc kit consists of the clutch cover(pressure plate), Clutch disk and throwout bearing. It is a very nice mod, i did mine about 2 weeks ago and i love it, grabs so much nicer then my old clutch did!

 

thanks but still no part number, that is what i really need because i went to advanced auto parts and looked at the clutches and they had the same clutch for the 1998 maxima as the 2000 max

 

Advanced auto does not sell OEM clutches. Clutch is the same fitment 95-2001 but have better clamp force in 2000 - 2001.
