im pretty sure my tach is broken it reads out 300 rpms when i turn my key to accessory. is tehre a way to test it or even fix it?

 

You can buy a cluster on www.car-parts.com and swap your tach out with the new clusters tach. Held on by 3 screws.

Mine died and I had to buy an SE cluster, and swap the tach out. Mileage really doesnt matter beacuse your not using the OD reading, but low mileage is best so you have a tach that lasts.
