baking headlights

I know its written in the stickies and I read it several times but what is the correct temperature to SAFELY remove the lens on the 97-99 maxima lights WITHOUT DAMAGING ANYTHING. I heard 250 degrees for 10 minutes is way too much and it will melt the lights. Can all you guys that have actually opened your lights confirm this please. Thanks

Try 220 for 4-6 mins.

That is pretty conservative and you can always open up and check if you get nervous .

I did 250 for like 10-15 minutes. Not sure of the exact time but it was over 10 min and they slide right open no problems at all.

i just did this lik an hour ago cause i AE'd my lights today.
this is the 2nd pair i ae'd. i did my glass ones last year.
i did 250 for 13 minutes and they come off SO EASY especially compared to the glass ones. just make sure you loosen around alll edges and try to pull it straight off best as possible cause i made the mistake of pulling the lense off at an angle and the left part of the housing cracked into little pieces, luckily it wasnt too bad and the glue held it all together.

Just took mine apart again the other day. 250 for about 14 minutes. 15 wont hurt. Just follow the sticky.
