I was just searching the forums and came across a post that said the CLOTH door inserts don't come off...that they are attached to foam and glued to the door...I just bought leather inserts and wanted to put them in...is there anyway this is possible or do i have to get new door panels?...

Yes its possible, Ive done it.
You have to take a knife and trim around the cloth edge. Then pull the cloth and foam off the door card.
Now the leather inserts attach to the door cards by metal tabs that go through precut slots in the door card and fold over, securing the insert to the door card.
Since you have cloth, there are not precut slots. Take the leather door insert and put it into place on the door card once you have removed the cloth. With it in place, use a marker to mark where the tabs hit the door card, at those spots you have to make cuts that go completely through the door card. Once all the slots have been cut just insert the tabs on the inserts and from the back side of the door card pull the tabs completely through and fold them back.
Done.

If you do it that way, the cloth will pull and stretch the black vinyl its attached to, trust me.
You have to actually cut around the outer edge of the cloth so that when you pull the cloth off and only the vinyl thats underneath the foam.

I just made custom door inserts the other day. I was pretty bored so I thought I'd try. I'll post some pics soon. I just pulled the cloth right off the door. You should be able to attach anything else with adhesive.
