Just got my headlights and there not right need some help....

ok .. guys long story short i had yellow headlights very filthy there were dirty on the outside so i could not clean it . I have ordered new headlights from Nissan just got them 2 days ago tried to put them on but they were no where near the stock ones they looked like the infinniti headlight went back turn them in and ordered another one and the parts man asked for my vin i gave it to him then he looked in to the computer and saw 2 different types of headlight in the 98 model . he said theres one with double reflectores and other one probley single reflectors.
He had no clue so i have no clue could any one post up a pic or what i could do now.
Thanks i will really appriciate some help on this.....

Well which ones did you have before? The ones that you ordered and didnt fit should be one set. I would think that either way, the lights should fit your car. Wether its single or double reflector its made to fit your car. Maybe I'm wrong tho.

So you cant get the genuine lights anymore? Just the ones made now from that place? Did you look in the junkyard? Classified forums? You might find some that will actually fit the car.

i don't understand what you're talking about. he gave you i30 lights? why not just go back and get the maxima lights? don't give them your vin, just say you need the headlights from a '98 maxima, and when you get them, check them out before you even leave the room.

what's this about a double reflector? neither the i30 nor the maxima had that in '98....

I think i know what this guys talking about...
there are 2 different sets of headlights that fit 4th gens, a while back i got in an accident, and ordered a used headlight from a junkyard that supposedly came off a 97.(i cant verify this though, thats just what they said) However the lens and reflector inside the light were different than my stock 97 headlights. Now im not sure if the headlight lenses changed between any years, but there are 2 different styles...

ok.. well i went to the junkyard and of course i looked around and saw bad beat up headlights not even a single one was close to being decent so i will just wait and see what kind of headlights i will get.

The headlights that i just turned in did not even look like the ones that are shown on the pics the glass was more slanted inwards aggressively and the glass is very thick then the 97-99models.

This might be an alternative if it's still valid from one of our sponsors...

If you dont mind me asking, how much were the lights form the dealer. Only reason i am asking is because they are all so expensive. No matter what it is.

If your lights are not broken, why not clean them?
On my other car (Volvo) headlights were dim and pale, one of my friend told me about a detailing guy, he cleaned them with some sort of spirit spray, costed a total of 30$. looks good as new.

The problem was here that the silver silcone or foil thing inside the headlight crumbled up and it's all plastic.

Damn just go to the junkyard and get some new lights. No need for dealer or ebay or customenterprise. Actually custom enterprise might be a good deal. $200 for AE'd. But check the yard before!!

Here's where i am at now.... I have been told that i should wait for tomorrow or the day after tomorrow and the parts guy said that the lights should be right this time. I will keep you all posted on how and what they will look like and If there not the right ones i will go with the custom Enterprise one there pretty close stock.
