POLL: Which 4th gen do I keep?!?!?!?
OK,
So right now I own a '96 SE with a ton of mods on it:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=485958
and I just aquired this:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=485380
Now, I have the option of taking my suspension, brakes, and rims and such, putting them on the black 97, and selling my '96.
The only thing I can't take, would be my PERFECT transmission/clutch/flywheel.
The 97's is in excellent shape, it's just stock
n: hahaha
Either way, i'm going to be making some profit.
I just have the option of getting a 1 year newer car ( that IS black on black cloth). Although, my 96 has 85K miles, and the 97 has 130ish.
There is also a SLIGHT possibility that I could take the interior from the black one, and swap it into mine....
If it was you, what would you do?!?!?!?!
Mike

I'd keep the 96 .... that is a big difference in miles and all the work you've put into it. It's not worth the work to switch it over or lose the mods just for 1 year newer, especially when it has more miles.
Sell the '97 Maxima. I see no gains in selling your '96.
What everyone else has said so far is right--it's not worth it to take all of your mods from the '96 and apply them to the '97, especially with the added miles on the '97.
Plus, I agree with mbandi: the '95-'96 body style is much better looking

Keep the 96' swap in the interior, its a big difference in mileage and you've already put so much work into the 96'

Well I got a really good offer tonight.
I'm going to sell the '96.
I'm keeping the system, rims, suspension, brakes, LTB, HID's and exhaust.
I'm getting a 5th gen LSD and a 3.5 which will be in by january hopefully
.
At first I wanted to keep the 96, but now i'll have a black on black with LSD 3.5 drivetrain, and 85% of the mods I had on the '96.
