Adding a second max to the familly!!

Well against all my finiancial better judgement i could not pass this up!! Today my neighbor put his maxima he has had for next to forever out for sale. His engine lost all compression bout 3 years ago and all the tires went flat, but other than that its immaculate. He just wants it gone, and hes like 80 years old. When he told me 300.00 and it was mine, well i had too. Cant take pics yet because my camera is being borrowed but its your basic gold maxima. Has the oem wing which will be painted and moved to mine. It's a 97 SE 5spd, tan interior.

Not sure what lies ahead for it yet, but it only has 98k on it so i am definitly going to investigate the engine issues. If the engine is indeed shot the car may have a 3.5 swap in its future, who knows =]

I thought so. The interior is in really good shape too. I stopped to look at it for the wing alone to be honest, then considered for parts, now im thinking of bringing it back to life as the play toy and do just cosmetic on the 98

i think you should sell the 98, keep the 97 and build it up from there....you don't need two cars(if it's only for u). You can probably even paint it the color u want(green). $300 is a steal

I would normally agree but with all the storage space available, and the fact that keeping both wont cost me really any more (not insuring the new one for quite some time) i cant see getting rid of my baby. The bonding with the 98 already begun, lol.

I'm a firm believer that you can have a show car or a play toy, not both in one (reliably). So i would rather keep the 98 for a DD like it is now, and do what i planned to already to it. Then have the SE for a playtoy.
