Car History

The car was purchased new in 1999 as a daily driver. After undergoing some mild modifications, the car went under the knife for a complete makeover in the Spring of 2000. Dodge Viper GTS blue paint was sprayed over the Stillen-enhanced body. With a custom reverse-mount hood (like a Viper), the car is currently the most modified Maxima known.

For performance modifications, the car went to the leader in Nissan performance, Stillen, who added their supercharger kit and other accessories, including a Formula one braking system from AP Racing. The car produced 221 hp to the wheels. A Veilside carbon fiber wing and Bomex side mirrors from Japan round out the car’s exterior styling.

For the interior, Trimmasters provided a one-off blue carbon fiber dash kit and Stitchcraft provided the upholstery work. A $20,000 In car electronics system comprised of extensive Audio/video component was installed as a Clarion/JBL/Infinity joint venture with the latest offerings from each company finding their way into the car. The car’s three huge JBL W12Gti woofers weigh more than 20 lbs. each with a special support system needed. The car’s five JBL amplifiers produce more than 4000 watts and required two additional batteries to support the electrical load.

Other lighting and trim accessories were provided by Toucan/Ractive/Eurolite and can be found throughout the car. The engine compartment was dressed by Hose Techniques. Motegi Ro_Ja wheels were produced just for this car and custom suspension work was done by Ractive.

A nitrous system and custom roll-cage are in the works now.

This car is used in the making of the movie The Fast and The Furious due out June 22, 2001. The car was used by the character “Vince”, played by Matt Schulze, a bad guy in the movie.

The car was used in a few action and chase sequences. The car’s performance mods were performed by Stillen in preparation for the movie. One sequence in the movie, a fight scene between “Brian” and “Vince” damaged the quarter panel and doors. The studio repaired and restored the car to perfection.

The car is slated to appear in a variety of magazines, none of which could be shot prior to delivery to Universal Pictures for its’ movie appearance. The car’s audio construction has taken the last two months and the car was completed only days before the Hollywood Premier of the movie.

The car is valued at $75,000.

PERFORMANCE STATS:

265 Horsepower @ 6,100 rpms
Maximum engine speed 6,900 rpms
0-60 in 7.1 seconds
0-100 in 15.4 seconds
¼ mile in 14.5 seconds at 98 mph
Top speed = 145 mph
Skidpad =.89 g’s
Slalom time = 66 mph
Curb weight = 3,895 lbs.

is this maxima a 5spd or auto? even weighing in at 3900 lbs, i would expect it to run better then 7.1 and 14.5, auto maybe, but i would expect a 5spd to be faster....

and doesnt it seem a little off.. 0-100 takes 15.4 while 0-98 takes 14.5?

Good point DRU. It would be a lot faster if it didnt have all that stereo, heavy rims, and all that misc. 14.5@98 sounds like he is having trouble launching but recovers. 15.4 to hit 100mph? THat is very odd. i dont knwo about anyone's Maxima but mines doesnt take almost a full second to gain 2mph. If you are at 100mph in teh q-mile, you are looking at about a 13.9 q-mile.

I don't know if you have ever heard a supercharger before but the sound resembled that of my friends charger, but the blue one has other mods that change the sound a little, and i dont doubt the chance the film recording changed the sound a little, but thats where the sound mostly came from

It takes so long to gain those last 2 MPH because at 97 mph he is shifting from 3rd to 4th gear.

alot of those prices seem overinflated to me...

$800 for Stillen struts? I dont rmemeber Stillen making their own struts. $500 sway bar kit? i thought they only had a rear sway bar around $220. Stillen intake for $350? thats EXPENSIVE, and it has a blower, what kind of intake would be $350. I dunno retail on the Stillen body kit but $1200 seems pretty high. Some of those audio components were crazy overpriced....i really hope no one paid that much for these products. id feel really bad for them.

Yes, it's an automatic. It was at Stillen Maxima Day 2000 (before it was finished).

231fwhp with all that weight... yes, I believe a 7.1 0-60. I don't believe a 145mph top speed though, not with all the crap on the car!

Hmm, I thought I had pics... I guess I don't...

Strangely enough top speed isn't that affected by weight so I believe it can get there. I do think his car would look a lot better with clear'd taillights.

Hahaha. 75k! $350 Stillen intake!!! hahahahahahaha!!! Right!!!!!

Isn't this the guy who wanted CHESTON to PAY HIM for permission to post his car/mods on Cheston's site??

What a freakin' joke.

This car doesn't have anything that .org guys haven't already done already for CHEAPER.

Hmmm get sponsered for all your mods then INFLATE the hell out of the prices to make it seem his car is worth GRIPPA $$.

Gee, I guess we are too dumb to see through this?

But wait, let's say he actually paid that much for all his mods. Does that make him look better?? hahahaha!

I have known people that by the time all the custom work is done then it comse out to about 10K easy. Ans thats because they stopped if they kept going could have easily hit that. I mean on subs alone you can get 400 - 500 a piece and a friend of mine just bought a 900 deck and it wasnt even the highest model they had. Prices run up real fast.
