transmission interchangability question
What year models does the RE4F04A work in?
Or what is the tranny model number of the 95 maxima/i30?
Reason i'm asking is i'm looking at a 00-01 Altima auto tranny and need to know if its a sure thing about being able to use the tranny in my maxima. I googled for tranny part numbers with no luck. Just not that internet savee i guess.
Also, if the trannies are the same can the Atli axles be used in the in my max, or are the shafts different in some regard?

Not sure what IIRC means. But the years of use for the RE4F04A was a question of mine. Didn't knwo if there was a slight change for the 00-01 cars. Also, the alti tranny is the same part number as above which should mean they are the same. But without having dont the swap i can't be sure. Didn't know if the axles, seals, sensors, etc. would be the same or not.
I'm pretty sure you are correct. And i did call 2 dealers, but got no help from them. That's why i posted on here. It seems nobody is willing to help unless you are standing in front of them waiting for them to look the stuff up for you. Even then they may give one grief. We'll find out today though.
