poping sound from front of car, HELP!

During stop and go traffic I get a poping sound coming from the front of the car, only when at a full stop and immediatly after taking off. When I drive it at faster then 20 mph I can hear something moving(at least it sounds like something moving, almost like something is swinging back and forth). Any suggestions?

I once had a large pop (aka Misfire). It turned out that the intake had no contact with the TB and i got a huge misfire. Replaced the stock one and everything is fine. Not much help but do check that everything is plugged in. Also try mimicking the problem yourself by pulling the throttle cable and finding where the sound is coming from.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think the sound is more of a mechanical sound rather then something from the engine. Sounds like something is lose and everytime I stop or take off it either pops in or out of place.

Probably a loose suspension nut.

Check the torque on your strut mounting plate nuts (3) and strut cartridge to strut mount nut (1).

If it's not those, you may have to go surfing below your car.

The strut mounting plate is the ones you can see from inside the engine right? Where is the cartridge strut mount nut? Thanks for the suggestions

You can see the studs on the strut mounting plate from the engine compartment, but the actual plate mounts from the lower side. In the middle of the strut mounting plate studs, there is usually a cover. If you take that off, you will find the strut cartridge mount nut.
