aluminized or stainless steel?

aluminized or stainless steel?

baahh.. i searched btu cudnt find... umm which one i should buy... i live in NJ so it rains a lot... and .. waht is our stock y-pipe...it sure is not stainless ...

is one of them better than the other?

i need really quick answers ...thanks

stainless in definitely better that aluminized steel. here in florida it seems like nothing rusts but since you live up north i would get stainless. however, it is more expensive but since it last practically forever it will save you money since you should never replace it again

It's going to get surface rust no matter what you do, since when does it rain alot in NJ? lol Something I have not noticed at all.

The stock Y-pipe is aluminized. Mine lasted about 10 years and 120k miles before it started rusting out.

Rain is not going to hurt an aluminized ypipe. Dont waste your money on an SS ypipe if you dont need it.

Right now Budget has the stainless on sale for about $210 or $215 US shipped. There is no reason to NOT get stainless for that price. It will last longer under any conditions whether you have harsh weather or not. Rain doesn't corrode your car's metal components, salt does.

just go with ss. it doesnt cost that much more and with snow and rain up here in the north it would just be a better bet.
